On Tuesday, February 7, we welcomed Heidi and her 6 puppies. They stayed with us overnight, while awaiting transport. Heidi and her babies came up from their previous foster family in Bolivar. She had been picked up as a stray and was pregnant. She delivered in Bolivar and once the pups were old enough for transport, they headed to KC to await the next leg. Heidi was a total sweet heart and her babies were absolutely precious. Her resemblance to my dog growing up, Dakota, was unreal. We only had them one night, as they made their way to Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue the next morning. I had no idea 6 puppies would be so much work! I swear, they are like little four legged fluffy barracudas! It was an absolutely incredible experience, and I knew without a doubt, I was meant to do this. Tucker and Heidi didn't get along too well...Heidi wanted to protect her babies and Tucker just wanted to play. But we all survived and are so glad we were able to be a small part of their journey to their forever homes! Below are some pictures from their stay.
